Our contribution to a consistently sustainable and holistic concept of mobility is based on the approach of value preservation and circular economy. The design of durable, renewable vehicles and the significant increase in their useful life cycle play a crucial role and thus lead to resource conservation within the circular system. In addition to the vehicle concept and the low-capital and energy-efficient production in MicroFactories, we offer a completely new and innovative remanufacturing process in our Re-Assembly Factory.

The modular vehicle concept and the Re-Assembly Factory enable a vehicle lifetime of up to 50 years, making the Shuttle META a truly sustainable passenger car. It also allows for significantly lower total cost of operation than other electric vehicles. The depreciation of the Shuttle META is minimized by a regular and on-demand Re-Assembly process every 5 years with material and software upgrades. Ecology and economy harmonize in a completely new manner yet to be found in the automotive industry.

Starting with the selection of components, such as the thermoplastic exterior or the low-maintenance electric powertrain, we pay special attention to durability and thus enable the longest possible vehicle life cycle.

        MicroFactory

        Our MicroFactory approach for small-series production avoids cost- and resource-intensive manufacturing processes such as press or paint shops. At the same time, the scalable blueprint of the MicroFactory with its Internet of Production (IoP) as developed at RWTH Aachen University, is not only significantly faster to realize but can also be implemented economically for a fraction of the usual investment costs.

          Re-assembly describes an industrial remanufacturing process of products comparable to the same quality standard as a new product. e.Volution has designed a unique Re-Assembly Factory to perform the re-assembly work. After each re-assembly cycle, the vehicle quality is equivalent to that of a new vehicle, thus extending the service life of the vehicle significantly. Used components are checked and, if necessary, refurbished. If the original quality cannot be achieved or the energy and resource requirements are higher than for new production, new parts will be used. This helps to significantly slow down the usual cycle of product wear.
